A Great Cause

Today I volunteered for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation at The Great Chefs Event. Top Chefs from across the country come out and provide a great sample dish from their restaurant. for a great cause. It took place at Urban Outfitters HQ at the Navy Yard. This is a fantastic place to visit with children. Its scenery is beautiful and the ships will fascinate any youth at heart! The HUGE 1,200 acre, open space with greenery is a runners delight. They have also have outside games for your entertainment. They provide shuttles from Center City and the AT&T Station on the Broad Street Line. The Navy Yard is an awesome FREE activity for the family to enjoy especially during the summer months.

Now, as for the food served by Celeb Chefs.....DE-LI-CIOUS is the only way to describe it! The food was scrumptious and the event raised money for children with Cancer. It's a Win-Win! The patrons received good food and also donated to a great cause. This event was so inspiring. I am happy I was allowed the opportunity to volunteer. I met some great people both volunteers and workers. I look forward to volunteering my time again next year. Maybe one day I can plan to be an attendee.
