Most parents have already planned for the Summer and their children are camp ready.  Others have had a late start.  Either way here are a few that may be helpful for the Summer 2018 or something to take a look at for Summer 2019.  Camps are a great way for the children to continue their engagement with their peers and meet new faces outside of school.  If you are on a budget, these camps may be an option.   Please note there may be waiting lists or the camp may have reached their capacity.   If so you can take a look at some of the FREE summer activities listed yesterday.  GSK www.scienceinthesummer.com This program focuses on STEM in multiple cities.  You can click on the link to view participating cities.  Culinary Art & Science summer camp at Discovery Charter School.  They will focus on just that, Cooking and Science!  For ages 5-12.  Cost of the program is unknown; however, CCIS is accepted.  chefs@ambrosiafoodgroup.com  Philly Bike Works offers a great biking program for children beginning at age 8.  The program runs for several weeks throughout the year.  The participants build a bike, learn about bike safety, and tours the city together on bikes. www.neighborhoodbikeworks.org  Is your child interested in Rowing?  Philadelphia City Rowing offers a FREE rowing summer camp for 7th and 8th graders and 9th-12th graders. www.philadelphiacityrowing.org

For those little ones that just can get enough of Math there is a FREE math program which also includes a week trip to Detroit to further learn at Wayne University. wwww.mathcorpsphilly.org. Stay Tuned...
